Job Summary

  • The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and management, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.

  • The individual must demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of respiratory care, which may include, but not limited to oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, airway clearance, blood gases, airway management, non-invasive and invasive ventilator setup and monitoring.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associates degree with a certificate in Respiratory Care required.

  • Bachelor's degree with a certificate in Respiratory Care required.

  • 1-2 years relevant experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care required.

  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Nebraska required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

  • nt
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.

  • nt
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire.

  • nt
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire.

  • nt
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Variable, department is staffed from 6:
    00am-6:
    30pm; 72 hours every 2 weeks

  • Day Shift; 9 or 12 hour shifts

  • Weekend rotation:
    every fourth (one year advance notice)

  • Holiday rotation:
    one to two holidays per year; (four year advance notice).

  • Call time:
    Begins at 6:
    30 pm- 1 to 2 days/week with an additional day occasionally; housing available across the street from the hospital

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
